When I made this goal, I was carrying around a "brick of crap" for a camera. It was huge and boxy and had to "charge the flash" every time I wanted to take a picture. When it hit dusk, it was completely worthless. The batteries would not stay charged for anything. It was time for an upgrade.
When I went to Florida, I decided that I needed a good camera to come with me. So I choked up $250+ and bought a camera. It's cute, sleek and takes good pictures.
The only time I miss the brick is when I'm trying to do self-timer things, because this camera doesn't have enough bulk to keep it standing on its own.
